Vanadium Recovery from Fume Dust and Slag

Vanadium is widely spread in earth crust. Vanadium extraction is achieved through the recovery of vanadium-containing flue dust and smelting slag. Apart from minerals patronite, vanadinite, sulvanite, sefstromite, vanadium titanuo-magnetite ore, vanadium also exists in stone-like coal, crude oil and bitumen. Crude oil, as the key source of vanadium extraction, usually contains relatively higher vanadium contents in Central Asia (typically 101ppm in crude oil in Iran and 79ppm in Egypt). In oil refining process, vanadium is enriched into heavy oil. In case of hydrotreating of heavy oil, vanadium attaches to catalyst. In case that heavy oil is combusted as fuel, vanadium enriches in flue dust.

Vanadium recovery process shall be selected as per raw material specification. Metalcess provides solution of alkaline process to reduce inclusion of impurities during leaching while ensures relatively high leaching rate. We can produce high quality V2O5 (higher than 99.95%) through simplified and high efficient process flow.
