Magnesia sand, as the major material of refractory for metallurgy industrial, has experienced a huge increase since April, 2017.

Liaoning Province, the most important source of magnesia sand in China, has recently shut down 38 enterprise of refractory production and building materials, due to the constrictive environment regulation. It directly results in a price increase of magnesia price by 100RMB/ton in the middle of April, 2018. It is expected that the refractory material will have price surging continuously.
