Description

The electric furnace for tin concentrate smelting belongs to the category of electric arc resistance furnace. The current is supplied to the smelting bath through direct contact with slag (solid material) to generate electric arc and heat for reduction smelting.

Characteristics

1.    The furnace converts electric energy to heat energy to get centralized high temperature for smelting. The strong stirring effect surrounding the electrode intensifies reaction speed.

2.    Enclosed furnace design to keep high CO concentration for reduction, meanwhile, airtight furnace gets less off-gas amount and less tin vapor, favorable for off-gas cooling and dust collection system.

3.    Big hearth capacity (3-6t/(m²*d), high direct recovery rate (90% for high tin calcine smelting) and total recovery of tin > 97%, high thermal efficiency and less tin loss in slag (1%).
