FRP (Fiber-glass Reinforced Plastic) electrolytic cell/storage tank is constructed by a steel or wooden frame and the hand lay-up fiberglass bonded by resin. The cell can be used for the copper /nickel /zinc /manganese electro-refining /electrowinning industry.
Description
Resin is the key element to FRP cell
fabrication, directly influencing its service lifetime, anti-corrosion resistance
and mechanical strength. Fiberglass, however, determines the cell’s strength at
high working temperature. The fabrication of FRP is to lay up the different
fiberglass impregnated with vinyl-ester resin in sequence by hand.
